Burkina Faso defeats Tunisia to march into AFCON semi final

Burkina Faso progressed into the semi final of AFCON 2017 by defeating Tunisia in Libreville, Gabon, on Saturday.

Two second half goals from substitutes Aristide Bancé and Prejuce Nakoulma sent the North Africans out of the tournament.

Bancé got the opener for Burkina Faso from a free kick with a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner of the goalpost in the 81st minute.

Bance almost doubled Burkina Faso’s lead in the 82nd minute when his shot hit the left post.

Prejuce Nakoulma put Burkina Faso ahead in the 84th minute, shooting from outside the box to the centre of the goal, after a pacy break.

Burkina Faso will face the winner of the clash between Morocco and Egypt on Sunday.
