But we thought Ja Rule had been ruled out…

It seems American rapper and ex-convict, Ja rule, is making his way back to music.

The former Murder Inc rapper performed along side old pal and award-winning singer, Jennifer Lopez in the ‘bronx’, the city, where the diva grew up in.

Ja Rule was a regular name on every music lover’s lips in the early 2000s with such hits like Always on Time, Between Me and You, Holla Holla, I’m Real, and Aint it Funny — the last two with Jenifer Lopez.

Ja Rule was released from jail in May 2013 after serving a two-year-prison term for gun and drug possession plus an  additional 28 months in prison for tax evasion, which ran concurrently.

JLo decided to go back to the ‘bronx’, that is the town where she grew up in before she hit fame, to perform for fans.

She performed her old hits and also some tracks from her upcoming album, A.K.A, to be released on June 17.

JLo and Ja Rule brought back fond memories, as they performed their 2001 hit, Aint it Funny at Orchard Beach in Pelham Bay Park, New York.
