The four Nigerian teams participating in the African continental club competitions in the 2022/2023 season have now known their opponents.
The draws were announced by the Confederations of African Football (CAF) on Tuesday.
Rivers United, Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, will face Watanga FC of Liberia in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
The Pride of Rivers, who won the 2022 NPFL campaign with four games to spare, will battle the Liberian club for a place in the next round of the competition.

The winners of the tie will play Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco, the defending champions, for a slot in the group stages.
On the other hand, Plateau United were drawn against Stade Mandji of Gabon.

In the CAF Confederation Cup, Remo Stars will kick off their maiden continental campaign against ASFAR FC of Morocco, while Kwara United will face AS Douanes of Niger.

The first legs of the matches will hold between September 9 and 11, while the second legs are scheduled for the following weekend.
The second preliminary round holds between October 7 and 9 with the second legs billed for the following weekend.
