The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have fined the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for failing to control the crowd during the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Nigeria and Chad at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna in June.
According to a statement by CAF, the body’s disciplinary committee recommended a fine of $5,000 for the offence.
Fans invaded the pitch when the Super Eagles scored in the 2-0 win.
The venue is expected to host Nigeria’s next AFCON qualifier against the Pharaohs of Egypt in March 2016.

The Super Eagles currently occupy the second position in Group G, two points behind Egypt.
