The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named Equatorial Guinea as the host for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
CAF selected a new host for the finals, which holds from January 17 to February 8, after rejecting Morocco’s request to postpone the tournament.
The North African country was concerned over the spread of the outbreak of the Ebola virus.
CAF subsequently disqualified Morocco from the tournament.

Equatorial Guinea, who co-hosted the competition with Gabon in 2012, will now take on sole responsibility for hosting the 16-team event, despite having only two major stadiums in the capital Malabo and Bata.
The Central African country was disqualified from the 2015 AFCON preliminary qualifier in July for fielding an ineligible player against Mauritania on May 17.
But the executive committee of CAF has confirmed that indeed the national team of Equatorial Guinea would take part in the final tournament as representative of the host.
