Bayelsa Queens, Nigeria’s champions, have been handed a tough draw against Mamelodi Sundown of South Africa and Egypt’s Wadi Degla in group B of the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League (WCL).
The draw, which was conducted on Friday, will see the 2022 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) champions face Sundown, the defending champions, and rekindle the rivalry between Nigeria and South Africa in the women’s game.
The group also include Wadi Degla, the record-time winner of the Egyptian Women’s Premier League, alongside a yet-to-be-decided representative from the Central African Football Federations’ Union (UNIFFAC).
