We can finish off the Gunners in Monaco, says Echiejile

Monaco defender, Elderson Echiejile, has disclosed that his side can continue from where they stopped in London and finish off Arsenal in the second leg of their Round of 16 UEFA Champions League match in Monaco.

In the match, a 25-yard deflected effort from Geoffrey Kondogbia put the French side ahead on 38 minutes, before striker Dimitar Berbatov scored a second on the break.

Substitute Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain grabbed Arsenal a lifeline in stoppage-time, but Yannick Carrasco slotted Monaco’s third moments later as the Gunners went in search of an equaliser.

Now Echiejile, who played from start to finish in London, said his team can kill off the game in the second leg on March 17 in the French Principality.

“We have to stay focused for the second leg in three weeks so that we can finish the job at home,” he said.

“There are not many teams who could come to England to beat Arsenal, but we did so and should not get carried away by this feat because Arsenal will always be a dangerous team.”

The Nigeria international also saluted the Monaco travelling fans.
