Champions League draw: Musa and CSKA to play Man United

Ahmed Musa and his club CSKA Moscow will play Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League.

In a draw conducted in Monaco, France, on Thursday PSV Eindhoven and last year’s German Bundesliga runners-up Wolfsburg are also in the group.

Musa fired CSKA into the group stage with a late winner as the Russian team mounted a second-half comeback to beat Sporting Lisbon 3-1 on Wednesday and 4-3 on aggregate.

In other groups, Arsenal will face Bayern Munich for the third time in four seasons after being drawn against the German club.

The Gunners will also play Olympiakos of Greece and Dinamo Zagreb of Croatia.

Chelsea will play Porto, with whom Jose Mourinho won the competition in 2004.

The Blues also face Ukrainian champions Dinamo Kiev and Maccabi Tel Aviv of Israel.

Manchester City face Serie A’s Juventus, Europa League winners Sevilla and Borussia Monchengladbach.

Draw highlights

Barcelona, Porto, Manchester United and Madrid are making their 20th group stage appearances.

There are three debutants: Astana (the first ever Kazakhstani representatives), Borussia Monchengladbach and Gent.

Mourinho also came up against Porto in the 2004/05 group stage, his first season at Stamford Bridge.

Bayern eliminated Arsenal in the round of 16 in both 2012/13 and 2013/14.

Lionel Messi became the first player to score five goals in a UEFA Champions League game when Barca last took on Leverkusen, in the 2011/12 last 16.

Barcelona put nine goals past BATE in the 2011/12 group stage, winning 5-0 in Belarus and 4-0 in Spain.

Paris striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will come up against his first club, Malmo, in Group A.

Manchester United summer recruit Memphis Depay is set for a swift reunion with PSV in Group B.
