Nigeria left it late to secure a win in their African Nations Championship (CHAN) Group C match against Libya on Friday.
Sunday Faleye scored the match winner in the 80th minute.
The CHAN Eagles came into the game off the back of a disappointing 0-0 draw against Rwanda.
Enugu Rangers star Osas Okoro had the better of the early chances but Ahmed El Trbi was fortunate to obstruct his effort in the 15th minute.

Mohammed Aleyat subsequently sent a low effort just wide of Ikechukwu Ezenwa’s far post before Nigeria ended the first half by carving out another shot on target, although Muhammad Nashnoush comfortably dealt with the danger.
The second half began with much of the pressure coming from Yusuf Salisu’s men and Ogbugh made the keeper work with an intelligent ball on target.
Ogbugh and Faleye had further chances to score a match winner, but the Libyan defence held firm and looked likely to deny Nigeria a win until the 80th minute.

Faleye capitalised on the ball-watching Libyan defence before putting the ball past Muhammad to give Nigeria a 1-0 victory.
