Nigeria and Rwanda played a 0-0 draw in their first game of the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) on Monday night.
The CHAN Eagles thrice hit the woodwork in a dominating performance in Tangier.
Nigeria had the first chance of the game but Sunday Faleye’s effort came off the woodwork.
The home-based Eagles could have taken the lead after the ball fell nicely for Stephen Eze but his header surprisingly didn’t go in.

After missing a number of chances, Faleye continued with his complacency in front of goal by shooting over the bar from close range.
With half-time approaching, Rabiu Ali hit the crossbar with a sublime effort that caught the Rwandan goalkeeper unawares.
The second half got underway with the East African side rejigging and taking the game to the wasteful Eagles.

But it was the Nigerian side who put the ball in the net two minutes before the hour, however, it was deemed an offside goal.
In the 80th minute, Nigeria again hit the crossbar through yet another effort by Eze.
Ali went agonizingly close in the final moments of the match which ended in a stalemate.
