There is unrest at the Agodi axis of Ibadan in Oyo state following a clash between okada riders and officers of the Agodi Correctional Facility.
Olugbenga Fadeyi, spokesman of the state police command, confirmed the incident in a statement.
A prison officer was alleged to have shot and killed an okada rider after a misunderstanding.
But Fadeyi told TheCable that one motorcyclist only sustained injury during the chaos and has been taken to the University College Hospital (UCH) for medical attention.

He however, did not say the cause of the clash.
Irate youth and motorcyclists in the area have made bonfires on the road to protest the alleged killing.
“The truth is that there was a clash between officers of the correctional service and bike men stationed at agodi gate,” Fadeyi said.
