Erstwhile Chelsea FC striker, Didier Drogba, is optimistic the West London club can overturn their poor run of form and win the English Premier League title this season.
In an interview with UK Sun during the launch of his book titled: ‘Didier Drogba The Commitment’, the Ivorian said he never doubted the ability and belief of the team to do the unthinkable.
“I have been with the club for many years and I know the character is still strong. When I used to play for the team, we never stopped dreaming and we never stopped believing,” he said.
He added that the team’s problem is beyond football but said with Jose Mourinho still in charge, anything is possible.

“I was in touch with Frank Lampard yesterday and we discussed a lot of things about the club and then we realize the problem at the moment is beyond football,” he said.
“I haven’t been there for a long time but he’s got the players’ trust and that is the most important thing. If you want to change things you have to have everyone with you and believing in you and I think they do.
“It’s not easy for me to see Chelsea in this position but I know they have the players to change that situation.

“It’s difficult when you are not used to being in the bottom half of the table but the results this week will give them a lot of confidence to come back.”
Chelsea, which currently sits at 15th position in the league table, with 14 points after 13 games, have managed 17 goals, conceding 23 in the process.
They have a dicey London derby this weekend against Tottenham FC who are presently 5th on the EPL table.
