At least 21 persons have been confirmed dead after a bus fell into a canal in northern Egypt on Saturday.
According to Al Jazeera, Sherif Makeen, an official of the ministry of health in Egypt, said three children were among the fatalities.
A total of 35 persons were said to be on board the bus when it fell into the canal.
Although there is no official confirmation on the exact details of what caused the crash, the incident was said to have been linked to a steering wheel malfunction.

The bus, which fell into the Mansuriya canal in Aga, a town in the Dakahlia governorate in Egypt, has now been recovered.
The development comes weeks after eight people were killed after an accident involving a bus on the Sukhna-Galala road in Egypt.
The crash, which occurred in September 2022, resulted in over 30 other persons sustaining injuries.
