Samuel Chukwueze scored twice in AC Milan’s 6-1 victory over Sassuolo in their third-round match of Coppa Italia on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles winger got his first goal in the 12th minute after Tijjani Reijnders sent him free on goal with a long ball into the opponents’ area.
Chukwueze placed the ball past Marco Sportiello, Sassuolo’s goalkeeper, but it ricocheted off the woodwork and back into the winger’s path and he eventually buried the chance.
The 25-year-old’s second goal was also set up by his run down the channel. This time, Tammy Abraham was the provider, and Chukwueze’s finish was neater and went into the bottom right corner.
