Newcastle United striker, Papiss Demba Cisse, has been charged with violent conduct by the FA for appearing to strike an elbow at Everton defender Seamus Coleman during Sunday’s win at St James’ Park.
The charge, which could lead to a three-match ban, came after a video review panel re-examined footage from the match.
The incident was unseen by the match officials.
Cisse equalised a minute later for Newcastle who went on to win 3-2.
