Despite missing key players including Yaya Toure, Vincent Company and Raheem Sterling, Manchester City pulled off an unlikely 2-2 draw away to Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in a dramatic match up that saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic miss a penalty and play one of his poorest games in recent times.
City were very competitive and organised but met a PSG team that showed vulnerability and lack of form.
In the third minute, City troubled their hosts with severe pressure. PSG however got a penalty when City failed to clear a free kick and Sagna missed the ball and was penalised for fouling David Luiz. Ibrahimovic missed the penalty for PSG, as Joe Hart in goal for City dived convincingly to his right.
City kept frustrating the efforts of PSG as its midfielders and forwards were resolute.

The English team drew the first blood in the 38th minute. Matuidi brought up the ball in midfield under pressure from Fernando. Fernandinho carried it forward and then placed a splendid pass to De Bruyne, who did not hesitate as he rammed it past Trapp in goal for PSG from 18 yards.
PSG equalised in the 41st minute via a tragic error from City. Hart played a ball from goal to Fernando at the edge of the City area, and the defender’s tame clearance hit Ibrahimovic and rolled into the net from 18 yards.
PSG took the lead in the 59th minute, Rabiot tapping home from close ranger after a Cavani header off from a corner kick rebounded to his path.

In the 72nd minute, Sagna’s cross in the PSG danger area was mishandled, and Fernandinho shot through a confused PSG defence to secure an unlikely leveller.
