I’m not sure I can say no to Manchester United, says Ighalo

Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo has hinted he can only leave Vicarage Road if an offer came from a club like Manchester United.

Ighalo has been in superb for Watford since his move from Spanish side, Granada, in 2014, helping them gain promotion to the English Premier league; and the 26-year-old did not stop even with the feat in their pockets.

He has gone on to become one of the most feared strikers in the current campaign, scoring 14 goals in 20 appearances for the Hornets who sit comfortably on the ninth position with 12 points above the relegation zone.

Having denied rumoured interest from Spanish club, Atletico Madrid, and Watford captain, Troy Deeney, publicly stating that Ighalo would not leave the club at any cost, the Nigerian has said that he might leave if Manchester United calls.

“I don’t think I will be moving but I’m not sure I could say no if United called,” Ighalo said.

“They were my team growing up. I loved watching Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke. They were my idols and playing at Old Trafford has always been a dream.”
