A Kano high court has adjourned hearing on the emirship tussle in the state to July 4.
In May, the court restrained Aminu Bayero from parading himself as the Emir of Kano pending the determination of the suit.
The court also ordered the police to take over the Nassarawa palace where Bayero has been sheltering since he returned to Kano after his dethronement.
Amina Aliyu, the presiding judge, made the ruling following an ex parte application filed by Ibrahim Isa Wangida, counsel to the applicants.

Respondents are Aminu Bayero, Nasiru Ado Bayero, Ibrahim Abubakar II, Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa, Aliyu Ibrahim Gaya, inspector-general of police (IGP), director of the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the Nigerian Army.

At the hearing on Tuesday, Eyitayo Fatogun, counsel to the applicants, told the court that he was served with five processes around 6:30pm of July 1 by the first respondent.
Fatogun asked the court to stand down the case for 30 minutes to enable him serve the respondent with responses.
Abdul Muhammed, counsel to Bayero, opposed the 30-minute stand down request and sought for an adjournment to enable him reply and file all applications.
The presiding judge thereafter adjourned the case to Thursday for hearing of all pending applications and originating motions.
