A chief magistrate court in Kaduna state has ordered the remand of Nibras Isah, a 36-year-old man, for allegedly attempting to rape his neighbour’s 12-year-old daughter.
The suspect was said to have committed the crime on January 19, at his residence in Ungwan Sanusi area the state.
Chidi Leo, the prosecutor, told the court on Monday that the suspect called the victim to purchase recharge card for him, while she was passing by his house.
Leo added that Isah locked the door, and tried to rape the minor after she brought the recharge card to his room, but the victim’s cry attracted neighbour’s, who ordered him to open the door.
