A chief magistrates’ court has ordered that Enoch Sule, a self-acclaimed prophet, be remanded in a correctional facility for allegedly raping and getting two sisters pregnant in Kafanchan, Kaduna state.

Sule, general overseer of Prayer Tabernacle Ministry, Kamurum Bajju, was charged by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) with rape.

Marcus Audu, NSCDC prosecutor, told the court that the matter was reported to the corps by Salama Sexual Assault Referral Centre, Kafanchan on August, 8.

The offence is contrary to section 258 of the Kaduna state Penal Code.

Samson Kwasu, the judge, who did not take the plea of the accused person for lack of jurisdiction to hear the matter, directed the prosecutor to forward the case files to the state director of public prosecution (DPP) for legal advice.

He, however, adjourned both cases until September 8 for further mention.

According to NAN, the two sisters’ cases against the prophet were filed and read out separately.

HOW SULE GOT TWO SISTERS PREGNANT

The prosecutor disclosed that Sule deceived the older sister, a 19-year-old girl, into accompanying him to the mountain for prayer and fasting.

While on the mountain, Sule instructed the girl to remove her clothes and pray naked as directed by the Holy Spirit. He, then, forcefully had sexual intercourse with the girl, which resulted in pregnancy.

Audu said a month later in April, Sule repeated the same trick on the girl’s 17-year-old younger sister and also got her pregnant.
