A magistrate court in Ikorodu, Lagos State, has remanded Bisola Kehinde, a 42-year-old woman, for allegedly engaging two teenage girls in prostitution.

Kehinde was charged in court for conspiring to engage teenagers in sexual activities.

Aminu Isaac, the prosecuting counsel, told the court that Kehinde committed the offence on June 23 at 19 Oba Omolaja street, Igbogbo, Ikorodu.

Isaac alleged that the defendant engaged the teenage girls in sexual activities and prostitution with different unknown men without their consent and collected the proceeds.

“The defendant promised that she would take the two girls to Libya for prostitution and advised that particular girl to lie against her father that he wanted to sleep with her to free herself,” the prosecutor said.

He told the court that the girl’s father was remanded in the Kirikiri correctional facility as a result of the testimony.

A.B. Olagbegi-Adelabu, the chief magistrate, did not take Kehinde’s plea but adjourned the case to August 8 for legal advice from the office of the Lagos state director of public prosecutions.
