COVID-19: Akwa Ibom takes custody of 63,336 doses of Moderna vaccine

The Akwa Ibom State Government has taken delivery of 63,336 doses of Moderna vaccine.

The vaccines were received at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, by the commissioner for health, coordinator, National Primary Healthcare Development Agency, chairman, Nigerian Medical Association and other stakeholders in the health sector.

Also, the government has placed the state on red alert as it prepares to contain the third wave of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Addressing the media at the 25th Akwa Ibom State Covid-19 Management update, the chairman of the state COVID-19 committee and secretary to state government, Emmanuel Ekuwem, said all hands must be on deck to contain the virus.
