Are you showing COVID-19 symptoms? You can file report on this platform

The Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room has launched a COVID-19 reporting system platform.

The platform allows people who have called the emergency operation centre of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) without response to report cases immediately.

Persons who are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or know those with symptoms are advised to make use of the platform where the issue can be channeled to the appropriate quarters.

The symptoms of COVID-19 include dry cough, fever, tiredness/fatigue, loss of sense of smell/taste, difficulty in breathing and sore throat.

According to the platform, the identity of the person will not be made public. The information provided will only be disclosed to the relevant public health authorities to follow up on the report.

On Monday, NCDC confirmed 38 new COVID-19 cases, bringing Nigeria’s total to 665. A total of 188 patients have recovered from the disease, with 22 deaths recorded.
