The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says four persons died of COVID-19 complications on Saturday, while 473 new infections were recorded across 12 states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
The latest figure represents a 16.3 percent decrease from the 565 infections NCDC logged on Friday.
A breakdown of the new data showed that Lagos, which has been the worst-hit state since the outbreak of coronavirus in Nigeria, recorded 323 cases, followed by Akwa Ibom and Rivers with 46 and 41 infections, respectively.
Other states that recorded new positive samples include FCT (20), Ekiti (12), Osun (9), Oyo (9), Ogun (6), Bayelsa (3), Anambra (1), Edo (1), Nasarawa (1) and Plateau (1)

Meanwhile, four persons were confirmed to have died of complications arising from COVID-19 on Saturday, increasing the country’s fatality toll to 2,185.
According to NCDC, 63 persons were discharged on Saturday after recovering from the infectious disease.
Out of a total of 177,615 coronavirus cases confirmed across the country, 165, 472 patients have been discharged.
