COVID-19: NCDC logs eight new cases — but zero deaths in 22 days

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed eight new cases of coronavirus in the country.

The agency, in its latest update for March 12, 2022, said the cases were reported from two states.

A breakdown of new cases showed that Kwara and Lagos recorded four positive samples respectively.

For the 22nd consecutive day, no new death as a result of COVID-19 complications has been reported in Nigeria.

The COVID-19 death toll in the country remains unchanged at 3,142.

Meanwhile, five persons were discharged on Saturday after recovering from the virus, raising the country’s total number of recoveries to 249,340.

A total of 254,953 coronavirus cases have now been confirmed across the country.
