COVID-19: Nigeria records 35 new infections in four states — but zero deaths

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Saturday, reported 35 new COVID-19 infections.

The latest positive samples of coronavirus were recorded in four states, according to the agency’s update for June 26, 2021.

According to the breakdown, Lagos, the hardest- hit state, topped the list of states with new infections with 30 cases, followed by Kwara (3), Gombe (1), and Kano (1).

With this figure, a total of 259 cases have been confirmed within the past seven days.

No new death was recorded on Saturday, leaving the total number of coronavirus casualties at 2,119.

Meanwhile, nine patients were discharged on Saturday after recovering from the infectious disease.

A total of 167,465 cases have now been confirmed across the country, but 163,946 patients have recovered.
