The Ogun state government says it has received 187,426 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
Tomi Coker, the state commissioner for health, in a statement on Saturday, said the vaccines arrived in Abeokuta, the state capital, late Thursday night.
Coker said the state had earlier received and installed ultra cold chain refrigerators to store and preserve the vaccines.
She explained that the state would begin the second phase of its COVID-19 vaccination exercise next week, targeting adults from 18 years and above.
