The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says Nigeria recorded 360 new cases of COVID-19 infections on Monday.
The NCDC released the data in its update for March 1, 2021 via its Twitter handle.
On Sunday, the country had recorded 240 fresh infections which is the lowest single-day count in the last two months.
The fresh cases are from 18 states and the federal capital territory (FCT).

In the new data, Lagos, the epicenter of the pandemic in Nigeria, topped the list with 120 fresh infections.
Osun followed with 38 new cases and Kaduna with 25.
Other states with confirmed cases are FCT (23),Imo (23), Delta (19), Akwa Ibom (17),Plateau (17) Rivers (16) Nasarawa (15), Kwara (13), Oyo (9), Ogun (8), Bauchi (4), Osun (4), Kano (3), Kebbi (3), Niger (2) and Katsina (1).

The country also recorded 136 recoveries which include include 81 community recoveries in Lagos state, and 70 in the FCT managed in line with guidelines.
Eight fatalities were recorded, bringing the total casualty figure to 1,915.
So far, 156017 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the country.
