Spain has recorded less than 100 deaths from COVID-19 complications, the least casualty figure from the disease in the country in two months.
The country’s ministry of health said on Saturday that 87 people died from COVID-19 complications in the past 24 hours, with another 421 infected.
The new deaths are the lowest tally since March 16 when the country announced a lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
The official data from Spain also showed there was a 0.18 percent day-on-day increase in the number of persons who tested positive for the virus.

Spain is third worst hit country with 277,719 cases of the disease and 27,650 fatalities.
Despite the decrease in recorded cases and casualties, there are fears the health crisis would worsen as a result of recent relaxation of measures, such as allowing children to leave their homes, and adults to exercise outdoors.
Globally, 4.74 million people have so far been infected with the coronavirus while 313,700 have died.
