The Sustainable Initiative for Nurturing Growth (SING) has opened its election situation room for Saturday’s governorship election.
Speaking at a press conference in Yenegoa, the state capital, on Tuesday, Mohammed Basah, one of the leaders of the group, said the SING situation room is open for citizens and elections observers, “to candidly report on the process of the election, through real-time observations shared on social media and other platforms”.
Mohammed said the SING situation room will provide pre-election analysis and track the elections in real time as they evolve, while also analyzing all kinds of information on actions of voters, security personnel, election officials and candidates.
SING also said it will be working with partners such as the Women Arise, Centre for Public Accountability and other leading civil society groups.
