Parts of the country have been unreachable on the MTN network, following a downtime which occurred earlier on Saturday.

Checks by TheCable revealed that the disruption started on Saturday afternoon.

While some users, who suffered network disruption earlier on Saturday, had their services restored within a few minutes, as of the time of this report, several customers were still out of coverage.

Some customers also said they are able to access the internet, but have not been able to make calls.

Meanwhile, the telecommunications company has apologised to its customers over the network issue.

“Yello! Some of our customers are having difficulty connecting to the network today. We’re looking into this and are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused,” the post reads.
