Cyber Skills Bridge, a non-profit digital education firm, has graduated the first cohort of its cyber skills fellowship.

The three-month training, mentorship, and internship initiative started in 2024 and aims to bridge the growing gap in cyber skills.

A partnership between Cyber Skills Bridge and the cybersecurity firm Digital Footprints Nigeria Ltd organised the fellowship.

Tombari Sibe, chief executive officer (CEO) of Digital Footprints Ltd, said 20 candidates were admitted for the first cohort, with 16 completing the programme.

In a statement announcing the end of the fellowship’s first cohort, Sibe said the project was designed to equip entry-level personnel and young professionals with theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in cybersecurity.

He said the participants were trained and mentored in key cybersecurity domains like information security, network security, application security, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, governance, risk & compliance, threat intelligence, and digital forensics.

“This transformative journey has been inspiring, bringing together passionate participants, skilled mentors and a commitment to advancing cybersecurity expertise,” Sibe said.
