Dalung threatens to clamp down on NFF

Solomon Dalung, minister of youths and sports, says he would clampdown on corrupt administrators within the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).

Speaking on Wednesday at the annual congress of the federation, Dalung said he would “step on toes” stunting the growth of Nigerian football.

“I have been wanting to ask this question for a very long time: Why do we have crises in Nigeria football? There is no institution or movement that does not experience crises here and again. Crises should never be perpetual,” he said.

“I have heard series of complaints from players and coaches of how their salaries and allowances were not paid. From previous reports of crisis from the players’ camp, the issue has always been that officials took players money!
