Dangote quits noodles production, sells assets to makers of Indomie

Dangote Group has sold the assets of Dangote Noodles to Dufil Prima Foods, makers of Indomie noodles.

In a statement, Thabo Mabo, group managing director (GMD), Dangote flour mills (DFM), exited the production of noodles because it did not consider it strategic.

Mabo said Dangote flour would now focus its strengths on flour and pasta production in order to improve in areas of quality, distribution and marketing.

The GMD said based on the agreement with Dufil, they would continue to produce noodles under the Dangote brand name for two years before changing it.
