Dangote Petroleum Refinery says it will begin petrol supply in August.
Reports had claimed that the delivery date of petrol supply was postponed.
Speaking to TheCable on Wednesday, Anthony Chiejina, chief branding and communications officer of Dangote Group, said reports about postponement are false.
Chiejina said the refinery is on track to produce petrol as planned.

The development comes amid expectations of petrol supply from the Dangote refinery this month.
On May 18, Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest person, said from June, the refinery would begin producing petrol, adding that Nigeria would not have to import the product again.
In June, the business mogul said due to a minor delay, the refinery would commence petrol supply in July.

However, on July 15, Dangote refinery further postponed the commencement of petrol supply to August.
“Gasoline production to commence in July with sales from August,” the refinery said.
Also, on Tuesday, the refinery said it has not fixed its petrol price at N600 per litre ahead of when the product would enter the market.
Speaking on the issue, Chiejina urged the public to desist from such speculative announcements, saying the company has official channels through which it disseminates information to its stakeholders.
