President Muhammadu Buhari has lauded Aminu Dantata, Kano-based businessman, for his “numerous philanthropic gestures”.
According to Femi Adesina, special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Buhari sent a letter of commendation to Dantata over his contributions to the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Dala, Kano state.
Adesina quoted Buhari as saying the businessman’s “gestures are practical demonstrations of your deep seated concern for the well-being of Nigerians. You are, indeed, a source of hope and inspiration for the nation”.
Buhari expressed the profound gratitude of the government and people of Nigeria to Dantata, for his “significant contributions to national unity and national renewal”.

Dantata reportedly donated the inclusive lying-in-ward amenity rooms and intensive care unit of the hospital.
The facilities were said to have been built and equipped to international standards.
