Dapo Abiodun, governor of Ogun, has presented 13 sport utility vehicles (SUV) to judges in the state to enhance their welfare.
Abiodun presented the vehicles to Mosunmola Dipeolu, chief judge of Ogun, on Tuesday in Abeokuta, the state capital.
According to NAN, he said the presentation of the vehicles is in fulfillment of the promise of his administration to always support the judiciary.
Abiodun said his administration had supported the ease of dispensation of justice in the state, as well as increased the quarterly allowance of judges.

The governor also said his administration had embarked on a housing project for judges.
Abiodun said the scheme is to ensure that judges have access to improved quality of life during and after active service.
Speaking on the achievements of his administration, the Ogun governor said the present government was able to facilitate the e-registry initiative and virtual court sitting, which were introduced in 2020 during the first wave of the COVID pandemic.

Abiodun added that collaboration with lawyers in the private sector, which allowed them to offer free representation to those that could not afford it, was also facilitated.
In her remarks, the chief judge commended the governor for his efforts, and assured him that the judiciary would continue to perform its duties and support the state government.
