The global advisory board members of the Africa Chamber of Digital Commerce (ACOFDC) has honoured Sunday Dare, minister of youth and sports, with a DOERs award in recognition of his contributions to youth development in Nigeria.

ACOFDC is the organiser of the Emergent Africa Forum (EAFORUM), a non profit body based in Minnesota, United States.

Dare was honoured alongside Isa Ali Pantami, minister of communications and digital economy.

Eric Kaigama, convener of the group, said the Minnesota venture capital communities observed the efforts by both ministers leading to the establishment of Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF), several digital training programmes as well as cyber security trainings.

Kaigama also commended Dare’s commitment to youth empowerment and humanity, saying an empowered youth is the foundation for a healthy and prosperous Africa.

In his remark, Dare commended the gesture. The minister was represented at the event by Oluwakemi Areola, his aide on youth and ICT.

He also highlighted President Muhammadu Buhari’s efforts to promote youths and sports development in the country.
