David Adeleke aka Davido is celebrating his 22nd birthday.
The “Dami Duro” crooner needs no introduction to music fans in Nigeria and Africa as a whole, as his singles have consistently topped the music charts since his debut single ‘Back When’ in 2011. He has gained awards and endorsement deals internationally.
Born on November 21, 1992 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA to Deji Adeleke, a successful businessman, and Vero Adeleke (late), a university lecturer, Davido attended British International School in Lagos.
He also studied Business Administration at Oakwood University, United States, prior to relocating to Nigeria. He is currently studying Business Administration at Babcock University in Ogun state.

Along with his elder brother, Adewale Adeleke, Davido is the co-owner of HKN Music, a record label home to Sina Rambo, B. Red and DeeKay.
Davido has released the singles Gobe, One of a kind, Skelewu, Aye, and Tchelete (Goodlife) featuring South African duo, Mafikizolo, which might be included in his forthcoming album. He recently released a single titled Owo Ni Koko and he is working on the video.
With just one album to his credit, ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ (2012), Davido has won several jonours including a BET Award, a Kora Award, a Channel O Music Video Award, a Ghana Music Award, a Nigeria Music Video Award, two MTV Africa Music Awards, two African Muzik Magazine Awards, three The Headies Awards, seven Nigeria Entertainment Awards and two Dynamix All Youth Awards among others.

Also one of the finalists of The Future Awards, Davido has had a successful 2014 and has a lot to celebrate.
When Davido turned 21 he had a grand party at Pravada Lounge, Victoria Island, Lagos and for this year he has taken it a notch higher, opting to celebrate in USA.
