Social media reactions have trailed the resignation of Ajuri Ngelale, special adviser to President Bola Tinubu on media and publicity.
In a statement on September 7, Ngelale said he would be embarking on an “indefinite leave of absence to frontally deal with medical matters affecting his immediate, nuclear family”.

Ajuri Ngelale is taking an indefinite leave —good for him. Defending failure and incompetence isn’t easy.

@AjuriNgelale , please tell Nigerians the real truth why you resigned because we are not buying this health challenges story.

Ajuri Ngelale will finally get some peaceful sleep. It’s not easy defending this government and constantly deceiving Nigerians.
I’m genuinely happy for him. pic.twitter.com/tUcON2SS7H

As expected, people already twisting Ajuri Ngelale’s resignation from the President’s media team, even though reason was clearly stated.
Importantly, best wishes to the brilliant young man.

My thoughts and prayers are with my dear brother and senior colleague, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, as he takes a break from serving our dear country to focus on personal matters which require his attention.
May God grant him ease and rectify the situation. Ameen.
