Presidential aides, governors converge on Abuja airport

Femi Adesina and Garba Shehu, presidential spokesmen, are among the aides of President Muhammadu Buhari currently at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport, Abuja.

Among the governors on ground are Mohammed Abubakar (Bauchi), Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara) and Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano).

Lai Mohammed, minister of information, and Babagana Mongunno, national security adviser, are also there, while journalists are on the ground to capture the arrival of the president.

Supporters of the president, who were prevented from gaining access to the presidential wing, are singing and dancing outside the place.

Buhari left the country on May 7.

Earlier, Adesina had issued a statement to announce that the president was on his way back to the country.
