DG Sentinel, a nonprofit community focused on magnifying the voices of marginalised people, has been selected as a semi-finalist in MIT Solve, a social innovation challenge.
MIT Solve is an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology that seeks social impact innovations that can solve world challenges.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Isvari Maranwe, CEO of DG Sentinel, said the organisation’s selection as a semi-finalist proved that social media is instrumental in fixing global issues.
