Seriake Dickson, governor of Bayelsa state, has suspended all his official engagements for three days in honour of the women who lost their lives in a road accident on Saturday.
The women were returning to the state after a solidarity visit to Patience Jonathan at Okrika in Rivers state when the incident occurred.
Describing the victims as “our mothers and sisters”, Dickson expressed deep pains, shock and grief.
He said it was a monumental and painful loss to the state and prayed that God grants the bereaved families the courage and strength to cope with the disaster.
