Dokpesi makes U-turn, congratulates Secondus

Hours after spitting fire over the elective national convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Raymond Dokpesi, who contested and lost the PDP national chairmanship position, has congratulated Uche Secondus, the winner.

Dokpesi had accused governors of inducing voters.

But in a statement issued on Sunday, the party leader thanked the delegates for partaking in the exercise.

“I thank you (delegates) most wholeheartedly for voting at the just concluded Elective National Convention in Abuja,” he said.

“I appreciate the delegates for voting at the convention and congratulate the newly-elected national working committee of the PDP led by Secondus.

“You will recall that I said that the PDP must be the ultimate winner at the end of the contest.

“God bless the Peoples Democratic Party. Congratulations PDP as I wish all our members the best of luck.”
