Award-winning producer, director and song writer, Don Jazzy, was a year older on Wednesday and seized the opportunity to declare his presidential ambition for 2015.
Born on November 26, 1982, Michael Collins Ajereh, more familiar as Don Jazzy, turned 32 on Wednesday and took to Instagram and other social media platforms to appreciate God while declaring for presidency in a rather comic manner.
“Morning fellow Nigerians, as God has added one more year to my life, I am grateful to him for his endless blessings.
“In other news, oya vote for me for president 2015,” he wrote with a SMD hash tag (#SMD), short for Supreme Mavin Dynasty.

Although born in Umuahia, his family moved to ‘Ajegunle City’ in Lagos, where he was bred.
On graduating from Federal Government College (FGC) Lagos, he studies business management at the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in Edo state.
Before his graduation, the Samsung ambassador had already started fanning the flame of his love for music and music production, playing drums at the tender age of four and learning how to play the bass guitar at 12.

In 2000, Don Baba Jay, as he is alternatively called, moved to London, United Kingdom in response to his uncle’s invitation to play the drums for a church in a UK neighbourhood, after which he went into music production.
His first full credit production work was in 2004 on “Tongolo” in former team mate Dapo Oyebanjo (D’banj)’s first studio album titled No long Thing, which was released to widespread acclaim in 2005.
The former chief executive officer of Mo’ Hits Records founded the label in 2004 and dissolved it in 2012, forming leading label, Mavin, after the departure of the label’s vice president, D’Banj.
He has produced tracks for Dr SID, Wande Coal, D’Prince, Darey, Naeto C, Olakunle Excel et Zanga, Sauce Kid, Ikechukwu and Tiwa Savage.

He also collaborated with Jay-Z and Kanye West on the production of Lift Off, featuring Beyoncé in the album ‘Watch the Throne’, released in August 2011.
Don was recently listed by Forbes as the 36th most powerful celebrity in Africa.
