Don Jazzy’s fan ‘dreams’ of Grammy Award

Talented producer and musician Michael Collins, better known as Don Jazzy, has been tipped by a fan as potential Grammy award winner.

Uma, a fan of his took to his Twitter timeline, to say he dreamt that the 32-year-old Mavin boss won the prestigious Grammy Awards.

‘’ @DONJAZZY I dream sey you win Grammys,’’ he said.

To what Uma said, Don-jazzy replied: “I don follow u. i don Retweet  you, can we skip the wash now boss. Oshee.”

The multi-talented producer who has numerous awards, such as Nigerian Music Awards (NMA) Producer of the Year 2006, Nigerian Entertainment Awards(NME) Music Producer of the Year 2007 and The HEADIES Producer of the Year 2011, 2012 and 2014, has never never been nominated for the Grammys.

Helen Folashade Adu was the first Nigerian to win the Grammy Awards in 1986, receiving the Best new Artiste award at the 28th edition of the awards.

The first Nigerian to be nominated for the awards was King Sunny Ade, in 1983. Femi Kuti has been nominated for Grammy Awards four times (2003, 2010 2012, and 2013), but he has never won.
