Muhammadu Jibrilla, governor of Adamawa state, says the dividends of democracy being provided by his All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration will be a major decider in the June local government election in the state.
The governor said the performance of his administration in areas of empowerment and infrastructure development had silenced the opposition in the state.
“With what we have done in transforming the state, I don’t see the opposition winning any position; I don’t think any party will get even a councillor,” he said.
“When you go round you hardly see the posters of other party members. Adamawa today is for APC.”

He urged political parties to ensure a level playing field for aspirants in their primaries.
Jibrilla called for a hitch-free council election, saying Adamawa was just recovering from insurgency and needed nothing more than peaceful atmosphere to develop.
