Don’t sell your votes, Cobhams tells Nigerians

Cobhams

Revered Nigerian music producer, Cobhams Asuquo, has advised Nigerians to be careful about the choices they make during the general election.

He took to social media to say that the election was not about the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but about the well-being of all Nigerians.

He advised Nigerians to cast their votes wisely and refuse to be induced by ephemeral gifts.

“The moment people sell their votes in exchange for rice, cash and recharge cards, they have automatically received their education, good roads, stable power and empowerment,” he said.

He advised the public that the word “change” should not be unduly trivialised by “those using it as their campaign theme”.

Cobhams noted that the word is relative and could be from good to bad, or from bad to good.

“Change is of value and it is done for the better,” he said.

He also said that being a musician was for a reason, and at times like this his voice is not for him alone, but for the masses.
