Following the judgment of the presidential election petition tribunal which affirmed Bola Tinubu’s victory at the poll, Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has filed an appeal before the supreme court.
The tribunal in its judgement on September 6, held that Abubakar failed to prove all the averments in his petition.
However, in the 35 grounds notice of appeal filed on Tuesday, the PDP candidate and his party submitted that the tribunal’s findings were done with grave errors and gross misrepresentation which resulted in a miscarriage of justice.
Consequently, the appellants are praying the supreme court to set aside the entire findings and conclusions of the tribunal.
