Drama as ‘robber’ falls from bank roof in Ilorin

There was drama at the branch of a bank in Ilorin, capital of Kwara state, on Friday, as a suspected robber fell from the bank’s roof, causing panic.

The suspect was believed to have been in the roof while waiting for his accomplices to commence a robbery operation.

A security man attached to the bank told NAN that the suspect might have been hiding in the roof overnight because “nobody knew how he got there and there was no sign of damage on any of the security doors in the bank”.

The security man said some customers who witnessed the incident apprehended the suspect and handed him over to the police.

Okasanmi Ajayi, the state police public relations officer, confirmed the incident to NAN, saying interrogation of the suspect had commenced.
